Short bio
Hello! My name is Drew. I graduated from Brandon University in 2004 with a Geology degree. Afterwards I worked as an exploration geologist in northern Ontario, Saskatchewan, and Nunavut. In 2011, I started working as a wellsite geologist in Alberta, BC, and Saskatchewan while I pursued a Computer Science degree at Athabasca University. I also joined the Naval Reserve in Canada as an Intelligence Officer in 2019. Currently I am pursuing a Master's degree in Geology at University of Saskatchewan and working as Director of Geodata at Latitude Uranium.
Personal background
I love learning, and acquiring new skills. If I could get paid to just keep going to school I would, but alas, the bills need to be paid! Some of the things I'm most interested in are:
- Knowledge Representation in Geoscience Databases.
- Expert Systems and Automated Reasoning.
- Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
- GEOINT and OSINT applications in military intelligence.
- Data Science and Analysis.
- Data Visualization.
- Ethical Philosophy and Kantian deontology.
